Why Spay and Neuter?

Having your pet spayed or neutered has many health benefits!  While your new cat or dog is still young, consider having them spayed or neutered.  This simple and well-practiced procedure not only prevents unplanned litters, but can also add years to your pets life!

Benefits of Spaying and Neutering:

• A variety of cancers are fueled by hormones that are produced in the reproductive system.  When we leave our animals intact, it increases the risk of these cancers showing up later in life.  Spaying also alleviates the risk of pyometra, a serious and life-threatening uterine infection.
• Marking, mounting, and aggressive behaviors are less likely to be exhibited by neutered males.
• Your animal will be less inclined to roam to find a mate, which may put them in harms way.
